The symptoms of migraine mainly manifest in the following aspects: 1. **Headache characteristics**: The headache is often moderate to severe in intensity, pulsating in nature, and the pain typically affects one side of the head, although it may also present as bilateral headache. The pain may throb in sync with the arterial pulse and symptoms may worsen during physical activity (especially climbing stairs). 2. **Associated symptoms**: Commonly accompanied by nausea, vomiting, photophobia, phonophobia, and sensitivity to odors. Patients may prefer to be alone in a quiet, dimly lit environment. 3. **Aura symptoms**: Some patients may experience visual disturbances either before or during the headache phase, such as flashes of light, jagged patterns, or blind spots in the visual field. These aura symptoms may last from several minutes to up to an hour. 4. **Other possible symptoms**: These include prodromal symptoms such as constipation, mood changes, altered appetite, thirst, fatigue, and slowed reaction time, as well as accompanying symptoms like dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, and numbness of the tongue or face.
