There are various causes of memory decline, which can be mainly summarized as follows: 1. Age-related factors: With aging, the brain and body organs undergo varying degrees of aging, and memory may gradually decline. Elderly individuals especially need to be aware of whether it might be an early sign of dementia. 2. Disease-related factors: Conditions such as depression, hypothyroidism, vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency, neurasthenia, and cerebral arteriosclerosis may adversely affect memory. 3. Lifestyle factors: Chronic late-night熬夜 habits, insufficient sleep, poor sleep quality, prolonged fatigue, and high work pressure can all potentially lead to memory decline. 4. Other factors: Excessive reliance on computers reducing mental exertion, long-term smoking and alcohol consumption, and other unhealthy habits may also negatively impact memory.
