Gui Pi Wan is a traditional Chinese medicine primarily used to treat symptoms such as insomnia, forgetfulness, and loss of appetite caused by deficiency of both the heart and spleen. However, certain groups of people should avoid taking Gui Pi Wan. These include the following categories: 1. Individuals with damp-heat constitution: Gui Pi Wan functions to warm and nourish the spleen and stomach. Taking it may exacerbate damp-heat symptoms in individuals with this constitution, leading to discomfort such as bitter taste in the mouth, yellow and greasy tongue coating, abdominal distension, and similar symptoms. 2. Pregnant women: Gui Pi Wan contains multiple ingredients, some of which may affect pregnant women and the fetus. Therefore, pregnant women should avoid taking this medication. 3. Individuals with allergic constitutions: Those allergic to any component of Gui Pi Wan should not take it to avoid possible allergic reactions such as skin rashes and itching. 4. Individuals with severe liver or kidney dysfunction: Long-term use of Gui Pi Wan may cause certain damage to liver function; therefore, individuals with severe liver or kidney dysfunction should avoid taking it. If you fall into any of the above categories, it is recommended to choose an appropriate treatment method under a doctor's guidance. Before taking any medication, carefully read the drug's instructions and follow the advice of your physician.
