Familial Non-Medullary Thyroid Cancer Symptoms
Disease description:
This week, when I went for a check-up to see if my thyroiditis had improved, I overheard the doctor mentioning familial non-medullary thyroid cancer. I would like to know, what are the symptoms of familial non-medullary thyroid cancer?

Familial non-medullary thyroid cancer symptoms may resemble those of other types of thyroid cancer, including:
1. Neck lump: The most common symptom is a palpable lump in the neck, which may be single or multiple, and may be discovered by the patient or others during touch.
2. Hoarseness: The tumor may press on the vocal cords, causing changes in voice.
3. Difficulty swallowing: As the tumor grows, it may affect the esophagus, causing a sensation of obstruction during swallowing.
4. Breathing difficulties: If the tumor invades the trachea, it may cause difficulty breathing.
If there is a family history, regular thyroid examinations are recommended for early detection of any abnormalities.
