What should I do about inflamed lymph nodes?
Disease description:
I've had some inflamed lymph nodes recently, and even drinking water is painful. I previously got some medication from the pharmacy, but it didn't seem to help. I'd like to know what can be done for inflamed lymph nodes?
When lymph nodes become inflamed, the following measures can be taken:
1. **Medication**: Select appropriate antibiotics or antiviral medications based on the causative pathogen. Commonly used medications include amoxicillin capsules and cefradine capsules. Specific drug use should be conducted under a doctor's guidance.
2. **Topical Treatment**: Applying anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving topical ointments or traditional Chinese medicines externally can help alleviate localized symptoms.
3. **General Care**: Maintain proper dietary hygiene, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and ensure adequate sleep and healthy lifestyle habits. Engage in moderate exercise to enhance immunity, and avoid excessive fatigue and stress.
4. **Physical Therapy**: Therapies such as ultraviolet radiation therapy and audio frequency electrical therapy may be used as adjuncts to improve the condition.
5. **Surgical Treatment**: In severe cases such as suppurative lymphadenitis or tuberculous lymphadenitis, surgical intervention may be required.
If symptoms persist or worsen, or if other abnormalities occur, seek medical attention promptly.
