The causes of acne and milia are diverse, and mainly include the following:
1. Causes of acne: Acne is typically associated with excessive secretion of androgens, overactive sebaceous glands, blockage of the hair follicle-sebaceous gland duct, unhealthy dietary and lifestyle habits (such as consumption of spicy foods and chronic lack of sleep), and infections (such as bacteria, fungi, and other pathogenic microorganisms). These factors lead to abnormalities in the hair follicles and sebaceous glands, resulting in the formation of acne.
2. Causes of milia: Milia may be related to endocrine disorders, excessive nutrition (such as frequent consumption of greasy foods), overactive sebaceous glands, and improper application of cosmetics. During the skin's repair process, white granules may form, or油脂 (sebum) may accumulate on the skin surface due to poor sebum drainage, leading to the formation of milia.
