What are the late-stage symptoms of gastric cardia cancer?
Disease description:
Recently, I have been experiencing retrosternal pain, difficulty swallowing, and even gastrointestinal bleeding, black stools, and vomiting blood. I'm afraid it might be late-stage贲门癌 (cardia cancer). May I ask, what are the symptoms?
Symptoms of advanced gastric cardia cancer may become more severe and varied, mainly including:
1. Persistent dysphagia: As the tumor grows, it may obstruct the passage of food from the esophagus into the stomach, making it especially difficult to swallow solid foods.
2. Melena or blood in stool: If the tumor invades blood vessels, it may cause gastrointestinal bleeding, presenting as black, tarry stools or occult blood.
3. Reduced esophageal lumen: In advanced stages, the tumor may cause significant narrowing of the esophagus, even complete obstruction.
4. Enlarged neck or supraclavicular lymph nodes: The tumor may metastasize to lymph nodes in these areas.
