Scalp inflammation, especially inflamed and swollen hair follicles, may be caused by conditions such as folliculitis and seborrheic dermatitis. For such conditions, treatment and relief methods mainly include:

1. Keeping the scalp clean: Wash the scalp daily with warm water or non-irritating antibacterial products. Avoid using overly harsh shampoos to prevent worsening of the inflammation.

2. Medication: If the inflammation is caused by bacterial infection, antibiotic medications such as erythromycin ointment, fusidic acid cream, or mupirocin ointment may be used as directed by a physician. If it is a fungal infection, antifungal medications such as compound ketoconazole cream or clotrimazole cream may be used. If topical medications are ineffective, oral antibiotics such as enteric-coated erythromycin tablets or ciprofloxacin hydrochloride tablets may be considered.

3. Lifestyle adjustments: Pay attention to personal hygiene, avoid frequent hair dyeing and perming, and avoid consuming spicy foods, seafood, and other irritants. Increase intake of foods rich in B-complex vitamins.
