What causes dry nose?
Disease description:
I am 30 years old. Recently, I have been experiencing dryness in my nose and some nasal congestion. I would like to know what causes nasal dryness.

Possible causes of dry nose may include:
1. Environmental factors: Dry air and low humidity in autumn and winter, or high levels of dust and pollution in the surrounding environment, may contribute to a dry nose.
2. Lifestyle habits: Consumption of spicy or irritating foods, frequent nose-blowing, or habitual nose-picking may damage the nasal mucosa and result in nasal dryness.
3. Medical conditions: Diseases such as acute upper respiratory tract infection, atrophic rhinitis, dry rhinitis, nasal septal perforation, and vitamin deficiency may directly affect nasal moisture and secretions.
To alleviate nasal dryness, it is recommended to maintain moderate indoor humidity and avoid prolonged exposure to dry environments. Modifying unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as adopting a mild diet and avoiding nose-picking, is also advised. If symptoms persist or worsen, timely medical consultation is recommended.
