What does high estradiol indicate?
My menstrual cycle has been somewhat irregular, so I went for a check-up. The results indicated that my estradiol levels are high. I would like to know, what does elevated estradiol signify?

Estradiol is an important estrogen in the female body, secreted by the ovaries. Elevated estradiol levels may indicate several conditions:
1. Physiological factors: For example, during pregnancy, estradiol levels naturally rise to promote endometrial growth and thickening, which facilitates embryo implantation.
2. Endocrine disorders: Long-term stress and unhealthy lifestyle habits may lead to endocrine imbalances, causing elevated estradiol levels.
3. Pathological factors: Conditions such as ovarian hyperfunction, ovarian tumors, liver disease leading to reduced estradiol inactivation, and heart diseases such as acute myocardial infarction may all potentially cause abnormally elevated estradiol levels.
If elevated estradiol levels are detected, timely medical consultation is advised. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including regular作息, balanced diet, and moderate exercise, can help maintain endocrine stability.
