What is the normal blood glucose level for pregnant women before dinner?
I am currently pregnant, so I need to eat dinner every day, but I am worried about high blood sugar. What is the normal blood glucose level before dinner for pregnant women?

In a non-fasting state, namely postprandial blood glucose, the following criteria are generally used:
1. Fasting plasma glucose (FPG): The fasting blood glucose level for pregnant women should be controlled at 5.1 millimoles per liter (mmol/L) or lower.
2. One-hour postprandial glucose (1h-PG): Blood glucose levels one hour after a meal should not exceed 9.4 mmol/L.
3. Two-hour postprandial glucose (2h-PG): Blood glucose levels two hours after a meal should remain below 7.8 mmol/L.
These values apply to the diagnosis and management of gestational diabetes mellitus. Due to hormonal changes, pregnant women may have varying capacities for glucose metabolism; thus, monitoring during pregnancy is more stringent.
