What are the early symptoms of breast disease?
Disease description:
Recently, friends around me have mentioned the seriousness of breast diseases but don't know what symptoms to watch for. Therefore, I would like to learn about the early symptoms of breast diseases.
Early symptoms of breast diseases include but are not limited to the following:
1. Breast lumps: The most common symptom is feeling a hard mass within the breast. These lumps can be single or multiple, vary in size, and may feel either firm or elastic.
2. Breast pain: Some women may experience cyclical breast pain related to the menstrual cycle, but pain may also occur at non-cyclical times.
3. Skin changes: The breast skin may develop a dimpled appearance resembling an orange peel, which may be due to blockage of lymph vessels.
4. Nipple changes: The nipple may become inverted, painful, or produce discharge, and its color may also change.
5. Changes in breast shape or size: One breast becoming larger or changing shape compared to the other may also be a sign of abnormality.
Early detection of breast disease is very important; therefore, it is recommended to perform regular self-examinations and schedule periodic professional breast examinations as advised by a physician.
