Pediatric Meningioma Treatment

Pediatric meningioma is a rare intracranial tumor in children, and its treatment must comprehensively consider the tumor's location, size, type, and the child's overall health status. 1. Surgical resection: For localized pediatric meningiomas that can be completely removed, surgical resection is the preferred option. By directly removing the abnormal intracranial tissue through surgery, tumor burden can be effectively reduced and pressure-related symptoms relieved.

2. Radiotherapy: Often used as postoperative adjuvant therapy, radiotherapy is particularly effective for meningiomas that cannot be completely removed or have recurred. High-energy radiation is utilized to kill cancer cells and alleviate symptoms.

3. Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy is suitable for advanced or metastatic meningioma patients, using chemical agents such as cyclophosphamide and fluorouracil to inhibit tumor growth.
