How to treat cold uterus (宫寒)
For several consecutive months, my menstrual periods have been delayed and the flow has been very light. Do I have a cold uterus (gong han)? How is gong han treated?

The treatment methods for cold uterus typically include the following:
1. Herbal Regulation: Prescribing Chinese herbal formulas that warm the meridians, dispel cold, and promote uterine circulation based on individual conditions. For example, Ai Fu Nuan Gong Wan can warm the meridians and the uterus.
2. Moxibustion: Applying moxibustion on acupoints such as Guanyuan (CV4), Qihai (CV6), and Shenque (CV8) to warm the meridians, dispel cold, and remove dampness. For example, receiving moxibustion treatment 2-3 times per week can effectively alleviate symptoms of cold uterus.
3. Dietary Regulation: Consuming more warm-natured foods such as lamb, walnuts, longan, and red dates, while avoiding raw, cold, and cooling foods such as ice cream, cold beverages, and watermelon.
4. Exercise: Engaging in appropriate physical activity to promote blood circulation and enhance physical constitution, such as yoga, jogging, and rope skipping. For example, jogging for half an hour daily can help improve cold uterus condition.
5. Keeping Warm: Maintaining warmth in the abdomen, waist, and feet, especially during menstruation, to avoid catching a chill. Hot water bottles or warming pads may be used.
6. Herbal Foot Bath: Soaking feet in a Chinese herbal bath containing mugwort leaves, safflower, and other ingredients to promote blood and qi circulation.
Treating cold uterus requires long-term persistence and lifestyle adjustments.
