Precautions for Hepatitis A Vaccination
Preparing to receive the hepatitis A vaccine and want to learn about the precautions for getting the hepatitis A vaccine?

Vaccination with the hepatitis A vaccine is an effective way to prevent hepatitis A. The following points should be noted during vaccination:
1. Before vaccination, carefully inspect the vaccine. If there are any abnormalities such as broken ampoules, expired vaccines, incorrect volume, or presence of clumps that cannot be shaken off, the vaccine should not be used.
2. Individuals with allergic constitutions, immune deficiencies, those currently experiencing fever (temperature exceeding 37.5°C), suffering from acute infectious diseases or other serious illnesses, currently using immunosuppressive medications, and pregnant women are generally unsuitable candidates for vaccination.
3. A qualified disposable syringe should be used during vaccination; reuse is strictly prohibited, and aseptic techniques must be followed. After vaccination, observe for 30 minutes to monitor for any allergic reactions.
4. Usually, two doses of the hepatitis A vaccine are required, with an interval of 6–18 months between doses to ensure long-term protective effects.
5. In the short term after vaccination, avoid consuming spicy, stimulating, or raw cold foods, refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol, and minimize eating out to prevent interference with vaccine effectiveness or increased infection risk.
6. The injection site should not get wet; maintain cleanliness, but avoid vigorously rubbing or scratching the vaccinated area. If adverse reactions such as local pain or swelling occur, they generally resolve spontaneously within 72 hours.
