What does it mean when white urine appears in yellow urine?
Recently, I noticed white urine appearing along with yellow urine when using the restroom. I don't feel particularly uncomfortable, but I would like to know what causes white urine to appear in yellow urine?
Causes of white urine appearing in yellow urine include the following:
1. Chyluria: This occurs when fat particles enter the urine due to problems in the lymphatic system, causing the urine to appear milky white or cloudy. It is commonly seen in conditions such as lymphatic vessel obstruction or parasitic infections.
2. Pyuria: The presence of large numbers of white blood cells in the urine, often associated with urinary tract infections. Conditions such as cystitis and pyelonephritis may cause the urine to appear white and cloudy.
3. Crystalluria: Certain substances in the urine, such as calcium oxalate and phosphates, can crystallize under specific conditions, forming white precipitates. This is particularly likely to occur when the urine is concentrated.
4. Urine concentration: When fluid intake is insufficient, the amount of water in the urine decreases, leading to increased urine concentration. In such cases, excessive waste products and inorganic salts in the urine may form white precipitates, causing the urine to appear yellow with white particles.
5. Kidney disease: Conditions such as glomerulonephritis and pyelonephritis may lead to a decline in glomerular filtration function, resulting in proteinuria, which causes the urine to appear yellow with white particles.
If you have any concerns, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
