Prostate diseases include the following:

1. Prostatitis: Prostatitis is an inflammatory response of the prostate tissue, categorized into acute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis. Acute prostatitis is usually caused by bacterial infection, with symptoms including perineal pain, difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and urgency. Chronic prostatitis may not involve obvious bacterial infection and is characterized by prolonged symptoms and more complex treatment.

2. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): This refers to the benign enlargement of prostate tissue, leading to an enlarged prostate. It is common in middle-aged and elderly men, although not all cases of enlargement cause noticeable symptoms. When the enlarged prostate compresses the urethra, symptoms such as reduced urine flow and frequent urination may occur.

3. Prostate Cancer: Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor. In its early stages, it may not cause obvious symptoms, but as the disease progresses, symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, hematuria (blood in urine), and bone pain may develop. Diagnosis mainly relies on digital rectal examination, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing, and prostate needle biopsy. Treatment options include surgical removal, radiation therapy, and endocrine therapy.
