Main causes of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS):

1. The core mechanism involves insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia. This leads to elevated levels of ovarian androgens, which subsequently interfere with normal follicular development and ovulation, ultimately resulting in a polycystic state. At the same time, the adrenal glands may also produce excessive androgens, further exacerbating the condition.

2. Genetic factors: If someone in the family has PCOS, the risk of developing the condition is significantly increased.

3. Hormonal imbalance: Abnormally elevated androgen levels and relatively insufficient estrogen can adversely affect ovarian function.

4. Unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as chronic mental stress, irregular diet and sleep patterns, frequent late nights, combined with obesity, adrenal dysfunction, insulin resistance, medication effects, and other factors, can trigger or worsen PCOS. Common symptoms generally include irregular menstruation, infertility, hirsutism, and acne.

In treatment, lifestyle improvements are essential, such as maintaining a balanced diet, engaging in moderate exercise, and keeping regular作息 habits. Hormonal balance can then be restored through medication.
