What exercises are suitable for someone with a weak heart?
Recently, I have been unable to tolerate any kind of stimulation, as my heart starts pounding continuously once stimulated. May I ask, what kind of exercise is suitable for someone with heart problems?
People with heart conditions should choose suitable exercises based on their specific cardiac function status. Below are some recommended forms of exercise:
1. Tai Chi: Suitable for elderly individuals with stable heart rates. This low-intensity exercise can be performed for about 40 minutes per session. It helps enhance cardiopulmonary function while maintaining stable heart rate, thus placing minimal strain on the heart.
2. Jogging: For most patients with relatively good cardiac function, jogging is a good choice. This type of exercise promotes blood circulation, strengthens heart function, and avoids placing excessive strain on the heart through overly intense activity. It is recommended to walk or jog for approximately 30 minutes daily.
3. Walking: Walking is one of the preferred forms of exercise for individuals with heart conditions. It is simple and convenient, yet effectively stimulates increases and decreases in heart rate, improves myocardial contractility, and aids in cardiovascular dilation and increased cardiac blood supply. It is recommended to walk for 20 minutes to one hour daily, divided into one or two sessions.
During exercise, pay attention to monitoring your heart rate and physical response. If any discomfort occurs, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
