The normal range of heart rate during sleep varies among individuals, but generally speaking, a person's heart rate tends to be relatively slower during sleep.

Typically, the heart rate during sleep ranges between 40 and 70 beats per minute. In some individuals, it may even drop below 40 beats per minute. As long as the heart rate remains above 40 beats per minute without significant discomfort, it is generally considered normal. This is because during sleep, the body's metabolic rate decreases, energy consumption by various organs reduces, and the heart undergoes intelligent regulation to conserve energy, resulting in a slower heart rate.

However, a heart rate below 40 beats per minute or sustained periods of such low heart rate may warrant attention to rule out underlying arrhythmias or pathological conditions. Furthermore, individuals of different age groups, health conditions, and physiological or psychological states may have varying heart rate requirements.

If abnormal heart rates persist and are accompanied by discomfort or symptoms, prompt medical consultation is recommended.
