How is chronic heart failure treated?
Now that my mother is getting older, her health is not as good as before. I took her to the hospital for a checkup yesterday and she was diagnosed with chronic heart failure. I would like to ask how this condition is generally treated?

Chronic heart failure (CHF), referred to simply as "chronic heart failure," is a complex cardiac disease. Its treatment goals include relieving symptoms, improving quality of life, reducing hospitalization rates, and lowering the risk of mortality. The main treatment approaches include the following:
1. General management: Limiting salt intake, restricting alcohol consumption, controlling body weight, and regularly monitoring blood pressure and weight can help control the progression of heart failure.
2. Pharmacological therapy: Medications such as sacubitril/valsartan sodium tablets and bisoprolol fumarate tablets are used to delay the progression of heart failure. Diuretics such as torasemide tablets and furosemide tablets are used to alleviate symptoms of heart failure and eliminate fluid retention. Other medications such as digoxin tablets or compound captopril tablets may also be used depending on the patient's condition.
3. Interventional or surgical treatments: For patients who do not respond adequately to medication, treatment options may include implantation of a cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) device, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), heart valve surgery, or heart transplantation.
