Small stones in both kidneys refer to tiny calculi present in the kidneys on both sides of the body. These stones are usually not very large. If there are any discomfort symptoms, it is recommended to seek timely medical treatment. The formation of small bilateral kidney stones is related to the patient's lifestyle and dietary habits. It is usually caused by insufficient water intake, lack of physical activity, and frequent consumption of foods rich in oxalate or high in purines. Additionally, conditions such as urinary tract obstruction or urinary tract infection may also contribute to stone formation.

If the stones are very small, they may not cause noticeable symptoms. However, if the stones grow larger, the patient may experience abdominal pain and hematuria (blood in the urine). In such cases, prompt medical attention is advised. Under a doctor's guidance, the patient may take oral sodium bicarbonate to alkalinize the urine, and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy may also be used to help expel the stones.

If the stones increase in size or any discomfort symptoms arise, timely medical consultation is recommended. In daily life, it is important to maintain healthy lifestyle and dietary habits, drink plenty of water, engage in regular physical activity, and avoid frequently consuming foods high in oxalate.
