How to improve redness and visible blood vessels on the skin
Recently, I noticed many visible blood vessels on my friend's face and wanted to know how to improve the appearance of facial redness and broken capillaries.
Skin redness, known as facial telangiectasia or erythematotelangiectatic rosacea, commonly occurs in sensitive skin. Improvement methods include:
1. Daily skincare: Choose gentle skincare products and avoid using harsh cleansers or skincare items to reduce skin irritation and damage.
2. Dietary adjustments: Avoid spicy foods, hot foods, alcohol, and other foods that may trigger redness. Increase intake of foods rich in vitamins C and E, which help enhance blood vessel wall elasticity.
3. Sun protection: Most cases of redness are caused by dilated capillaries, and UV exposure may worsen symptoms. Therefore, strict sun protection should be practiced daily to avoid direct sunlight.
4. Professional treatment: For more severe cases of redness, laser therapy or intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment may be considered. These methods can effectively close abnormal blood vessels and improve redness. However, they should be performed under the guidance of a qualified physician.
5. Cold compress: Applying a cold compress locally can help alleviate excessive dilation of capillaries, thereby improving redness.
