What causes bleeding in the eye?
Recently, my vision has become much blurrier and quite uncomfortable, and my eyes are also bleeding. I would like to know what could be causing this?

Retinal hemorrhage is a common and serious ophthalmic disease, primarily characterized by bleeding from the retina or its blood vessels inside the eye. There are various causes, mainly including the following:
1. Eye trauma: This mainly occurs when the eye sustains direct or indirect impact, causing damage to the retinal blood vessels and resulting in hemorrhage.
2. Ocular diseases: Conditions such as inflammation, retinal vascular diseases, conjunctivitis, and choroidoretinitis may lead to retinal hemorrhage. In severe cases, the condition may recur and possibly cause rupture of capillaries.
3. Systemic diseases: If retinal hemorrhage is caused by hypertension, retinal damage may occur, so blood pressure should be controlled promptly. Diabetes is another cause of hemorrhage, as it may lead to retinopathy.
4. Medications: Certain drugs, such as anticoagulants and penicillamine, may cause retinal hemorrhage.
Patients with retinal hemorrhage should seek timely medical attention, as mild cases may experience vision loss and visual field defects such as blind spots or dark spots. In severe cases, permanent vision loss may occur. Patients are advised to quit smoking, control blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and engage in appropriate physical activity.
