Why does my knee joint always hurt?
After exercising, my knee joint always hurts. Why is this happening?
Knee pain is a common symptom that can be caused by various factors. Common causes include:
1. Mechanical injuries: such as sprains, ligament damage, meniscus tears, or fractures, which are usually related to external forces.
2. Traumatic injuries: the knee joint suffers external impact, such as falling, car accidents, or collisions during sports, which may lead to fractures, dislocations, or soft tissue injuries.
3. Overuse: frequent exercise, prolonged standing or walking, and being overweight can lead to overuse of the knee joint, causing pain and inflammation.
4. Degenerative changes: with aging, cartilage wear and tear is one of the most common causes, which may result in pain, stiffness, and limited function.
5. Inflammatory diseases: inflammatory responses such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and synovitis can cause swelling and pain in the knee joint.
If knee pain is severe, immediate medical examination and treatment at a hospital are required. Pain can be relieved through medication or physical therapy, and in severe cases, surgical treatment may also be necessary.
