What causes pain on the inner side of the upper thigh in women?
Female: Recently, I don't know why, the inner side of my upper thigh has been hurting constantly. The pain becomes more noticeable after walking a lot or standing for a prolonged period. What could be causing this?

Possible causes of inner thigh pain in women:
1. Muscle or soft tissue injury: Vigorous exercise, overstretching, or sprains can damage the adductor muscles or other soft tissues in the thigh, causing pain.
2. Inguinal hernia: When the muscles in the groin area become weak or develop a tear, fat or a segment of the intestine from the abdominal cavity may protrude through this weak spot, forming an inguinal hernia and causing pain or discomfort.
3. Lymph node inflammation: Lymph nodes in the groin area may swell during the body's fight against infections. If accompanied by pain, it may indicate lymphadenitis.
4. Infections: Such as vulvar infections or Bartholin's gland infection, which may cause inner thigh pain, often accompanied by symptoms like redness, swelling, heat, and tenderness.
5. Adnexitis: Gynecological inflammations such as adnexitis may also cause a dull pain in the inner thigh area and require prompt attention and treatment.
6. Nerve pain: Such as sciatica or femoral nerve pain. When these nerves are compressed or damaged, pain may occur, sometimes radiating to the inner thigh.
