Treatment Methods for Gastritis
I have been feeling uncomfortable in my stomach since yesterday, with stomach pain and no appetite. After going to the hospital for a checkup, I was told that I have gastritis. I would like to ask about the general treatment methods for gastritis.
Common treatments for gastritis:
1. Drug therapy: For most patients with gastritis, drug therapy is the first choice. Commonly used medications include proton pump inhibitors, gastric mucosal protectants, and antibiotics. These drugs can effectively inhibit gastric acid secretion, protect the gastric mucosa, and eradicate Helicobacter pylori, thereby relieving symptoms of gastritis.
2. Dietary management: Diet plays an important role in the treatment of gastritis. Patients should maintain a bland and easily digestible diet, avoiding spicy, greasy, raw, cold, and other irritating foods. Additionally, patients should eat regularly and avoid overeating, which helps reduce the burden on the stomach and promotes recovery from gastritis.
3. Surgical treatment: For patients with severe condition, ineffective drug treatment, or severe complications associated with gastritis, surgical treatment may need to be considered. For example, partial gastrectomy may be performed to remove diseased tissue and restore normal gastric function.
Patients should follow medical advice for treatment and undergo regular follow-up examinations.
