Neck pain, also known as cervical pain, may cause headaches.

Common causes of neck pain include cervical spondylosis, neck muscle strain, and others. Neck pain caused by cervical spondylosis can trigger or worsen headaches, a condition medically termed cervicogenic headache. Cervicogenic headaches typically result from problems with the cervical joints, muscles, or nerve roots, and are commonly seen in individuals who maintain poor posture for prolonged periods, have sustained neck injuries, or suffer from chronic strain.

Pain from cervical spondylosis often starts in the neck and spreads upward to the head, possibly accompanied by symptoms such as neck stiffness and restricted movement.

In daily life, it is important to adjust work posture and increase neck exercises. For treatment, physical therapy, medication, acupuncture, and other methods can be used to relieve pain symptoms. For some cases that are resistant to treatment, surgical intervention may be considered.

If persistent or severe neck pain and headaches occur, immediate medical attention at a qualified hospital is necessary.
