Knee Pain Treatment
In the event of a traffic accident resulting in knee injury and damage to the meniscus, how should knee pain be treated?

Common treatments for knee pain:
1. Rest: Avoid excessive activity and reduce pressure on the knee.
2. Medication: Depending on the cause of the pain, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen capsules or aspirin capsules may be used to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. Topical medications, such as flurbiprofen plaster or diclofenac diethylamine gel, can also be directly applied to the painful area. For knee pain caused by autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, immunosuppressants and antirheumatic drugs may be used.
3. Physical therapy: Heat or cold compresses can help relieve pain and swelling; physical therapies such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation may help improve blood circulation and accelerate recovery.
4. Arthroscopic surgery: Used to repair meniscal tears and remove intra-articular debris.
5. Cartilage repair: For cartilage injuries, such as microfracture techniques.
6. Ligament reconstruction: For example, reconstruction is required in cases of anterior cruciate ligament rupture.
7. Joint replacement: Considered for patients with severe osteoarthritis when joint function is seriously impaired.
8. Lifestyle modifications: A balanced diet with adequate calcium and vitamin D helps maintain bone health; appropriate weight control can reduce the burden on the knee joints; prolonged standing or walking and strenuous exercise should be avoided.
