What causes visceral pain in the left chest?
Recently, I have been experiencing pain in the internal organs of my left chest, making me feel very uncomfortable. May I ask what could be causing pain in the internal organs of the left chest?
Pain in the left thoracic viscera may be caused by various factors, mainly including the following:
1. Cardiac diseases: such as myocardial ischemia, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, and acute myocardial infarction. These conditions can impair cardiac function, causing pain in the left chest area, possibly accompanied by palpitations and shortness of breath.
2. Pulmonary diseases: inflammation, viral infections, or tuberculosis infection may lead to conditions such as pneumonia or pulmonary tuberculosis, which can cause pain in the left chest area due to irritation of the muscular tissue, along with symptoms like coughing and sputum production.
3. Diseases of other organs: such as pancreatitis, splenic disorders, and gastric diseases may also cause visceral pain in the left chest.
4. Other causes: conditions such as wandering spleen, splenic cyst, splenic tumors, and respiratory issues like tuberculous pleurisy and spontaneous pneumothorax may also result in visceral pain in the left chest.
If visceral pain in the left chest occurs, especially when accompanied by difficulty breathing, chest tightness, nausea, or sweating, immediate medical attention should be sought.
