What should mushrooms not be eaten with?
I usually enjoy eating mushrooms and often cook mushroom dishes. I like stir-frying mushrooms with chili peppers and frequently vary the cooking methods. However, I remember that mushrooms have many禁忌 (taboos). I would like to ask, what foods should not be consumed with mushrooms?

Mushrooms should not be consumed together with foods rich in tannic acid. Tannic acid, commonly found in foods such as tea and persimmons, can combine with the proteins in mushrooms to form substances that are difficult to digest, possibly causing indigestion or gastrointestinal discomfort. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid drinking tea immediately after meals or consuming fruits high in tannic acid.
Mushrooms should not be consumed in large quantities with high-calcium foods. Although mushrooms themselves are not high in calcium, they do contain oxalic acid, which can combine with calcium to form insoluble calcium oxalate, affecting calcium absorption. Long-term and excessive intake may increase the risk of kidney stones. Therefore, mushrooms should be eaten in moderation, and should not be consumed with large amounts of high-calcium foods such as dairy products.
Some protein components in mushrooms may trigger allergic reactions in certain individuals, presenting symptoms such as rashes and difficulty breathing. Therefore, individuals with a history of food allergies should be especially cautious when trying new foods, particularly allergenic ingredients like mushrooms. Consulting a doctor or undergoing allergy testing beforehand is advisable when necessary.
