Gastric diseases are common conditions in the department of gastroenterology, and mainly include the following categories:

1. Gastritis-related diseases: such as acute gastritis and chronic gastritis. Acute gastritis is usually caused by unhygienic diet, pathogenic microbial infection, or medication, while chronic gastritis may result from prolonged exposure to various irritating factors.

2. Peptic ulcer disease: mainly includes gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, which are open sores that develop on the inner lining of the stomach or duodenum. Infection with Helicobacter pylori and long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the main contributing factors.

3. Tumors: include malignant tumors such as gastric cancer, as well as benign gastric tumors such as lipomas. Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor arising from epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa, and its development is associated with multiple factors including diet, genetics, and Helicobacter pylori infection.

4. Functional dyspepsia: this type of gastric disease does not present with obvious organic lesions, and mainly manifests as postprandial discomfort, early satiety, epigastric pain, and other symptoms. It may be related to impaired gastric emptying and dysfunction of the central nervous system.

If you experience symptoms of gastric discomfort, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
