Seasonal allergic rhinitis often occurs during seasonal transitions. As the season changes, allergens in the environment such as pollen and dust mites increase. After exposure, the nasal mucosa triggers an excessive immune response, causing symptoms such as nasal itching and sneezing. Mast cells in the nasal cavity release inflammatory mediators like histamine, leading to nasal mucosal congestion, edema, and increased sensitivity.

Try to minimize outdoor activities, especially during periods and in areas with high pollen concentration. Wearing a mask outdoors can effectively block some allergens. Using air purifiers and humidifiers indoors helps maintain clean and moist air, reducing dust mite proliferation. Regularly clean air conditioner filters. Rinsing the nasal cavity with normal saline two to three times daily can remove allergens and secretions, alleviating inflammation.

Under a doctor's guidance, use intranasal corticosteroid sprays, such as mometasone furoate nasal spray, to reduce nasal mucosal inflammation; take oral antihistamines like loratadine to relieve symptoms of nasal itching and sneezing.

If symptoms are severe and persist without improvement, seek medical attention promptly and consider allergen testing to facilitate targeted desensitization therapy.
