I've had pimples on my neck and chin for a month; what should I do?
I've had pimples on my neck and chin for a month now. I've tried several methods, but none have been effective. What should I do?
Acne on the neck and chin may be caused by factors such as hormonal imbalances, excessive sebaceous gland secretion, clogged hair follicles, and bacterial infections. Long-term sleep deprivation, irregular eating habits, excessive mental stress, and other factors may also worsen acne symptoms.
It is recommended to maintain good lifestyle habits, avoid staying up late, ensure adequate sleep, eat a light diet, consume more vegetables and fruits, and limit intake of irritating foods such as spicy, greasy, and sweet items. Keep the skin clean, use gentle facial cleansers, and avoid over-cleansing and excessive friction on the skin.
If acne symptoms are mild, topical medications such as retinoic acid preparations, benzoyl peroxide gel, and antibiotic ointments may be used. If acne symptoms are severe, it is advisable to seek medical attention promptly and undergo systematic treatment under a doctor's guidance, such as oral antibiotics, isotretinoin, or physical therapies like photodynamic therapy and chemical peels.
