Is it effective to use fever-reducing patches for a baby with a high fever at night?
My baby suddenly developed a high fever at night, and I'm wondering if using a fever-reducing patch is effective.

Fever-reducing patches can help lower a baby's body temperature and relieve discomfort. However, they are only an auxiliary cooling measure and cannot fully bring the temperature back to the normal range for babies with high fever.
If a baby's temperature exceeds 38.5℃, or is accompanied by other symptoms such as lethargy or convulsions, medical attention should be sought promptly. Fever-reducing medications, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, should be used under a doctor's guidance.
At the same time, giving the baby plenty of water can help promote metabolism. When using fever-reducing patches, ensure correct application according to the instructions, and avoid placing them on areas of the baby's skin that are damaged or prone to allergies. If the baby shows signs of an allergic reaction to the patch, discontinue use immediately.
When a baby develops a high fever at night, parents should closely monitor the baby's temperature and mental condition, and seek medical attention promptly if any abnormalities occur.
