Second-degree burns cause a certain level of skin damage, and skin recovery after discharge requires time and proper care. Vitamin E cream helps moisturize the skin and promote skin repair; hydroquinone cream can be used to reduce post-burn skin pigmentation.

Once the wound has fully healed and the scab has fallen off, vitamin E cream can be started. When using, first clean the skin thoroughly, then apply an appropriate amount of vitamin E cream evenly over the burned area and surrounding skin, gently massaging until absorbed. Generally, apply 2-3 times daily. Hydroquinone cream is mainly used to treat localized pigmentation that may occur after a burn.

Prior to application, ensure the skin is intact without any open wounds or inflammation. Apply a small amount of hydroquinone cream onto the pigmented area and gently massage to distribute it evenly. Avoid contact with mucous membranes such as the eyes and mouth.

During the use of these two medications, sun protection is important. Avoid direct sunlight exposure on the burned area, as ultraviolet rays can worsen pigmentation. Monitor the skin's reaction closely during use. If symptoms such as redness, itching, or pain occur, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention promptly.
