Why do all my joints ache?
I have been experiencing pain in all my joints recently, and the pain intensifies even with slight movement. I also have trouble sleeping at night. I'm not sure whether it's due to catching a chill or some underlying health issue. This pain has significantly affected my daily life. I really want to know what could be causing these widespread joint pains.

Generalized bone and joint pain, also known as systemic osteoarthralgia, is a common symptom that can be caused by various factors.
Below are some possible causes of widespread joint and bone pain:
1. Excessive fatigue or strenuous exercise: Prolonged physical exertion or high-intensity workouts may lead to muscle and joint pain. This condition can usually be relieved through adequate rest, massage, and heat application.
2. Weather changes: Variations in weather, such as decreased temperature or increased humidity, may trigger joint pain. Keeping warm and avoiding cold exposure to the joints is an effective way to prevent this type of pain.
3. Infectious diseases: Conditions such as influenza, streptococcal infection, or hepatitis can often be accompanied by fever and general discomfort, including joint pain.
4. Autoimmune diseases: Such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, or ankylosing spondylitis. These diseases are characterized by the immune system mistakenly attacking the body's own tissues, leading to inflammation and pain.
5. Metabolic disorders: For example, gout is an acute form of arthritis caused by elevated levels of uric acid. It typically affects the big toe but can also involve other joints.
6. Chronic fatigue syndrome: This is a prolonged fatigue condition of unknown origin, often accompanied by muscle and joint pain, sleep disturbances, and other symptoms.
