What medical examinations are needed when preparing for pregnancy?
I am currently preparing for pregnancy and would like to undergo some checkups. Could you please tell me what examinations are needed when preparing for pregnancy?

Common pre-pregnancy examination items:
1. Physical examination: Measurement of basic indicators including height, weight, blood pressure, and blood type, as well as assessment of secondary sexual characteristics and genital development.
2. Gynecological examination: Cervical smear, vaginal discharge test, and ultrasound examination of the uterus and adnexa to rule out gynecological diseases.
3. Complete blood count (CBC): Including red blood cell count, white blood cell count, and platelet count, to assess for anemia, infection, or other issues.
4. Urinalysis: Helps detect urinary tract infections and prevent infections during pregnancy.
5. Genetic counseling and testing: Understanding family medical history and conducting genetic disease testing when necessary to prevent passing hereditary diseases to the next generation.
6. Endocrine function tests: Such as thyroid function and blood glucose levels, to ensure normal endocrine system function conducive to conception.
7. Male reproductive system examination: Including routine semen analysis to assess sperm quality and motility.
8. Nutritional status assessment: Testing levels of nutrients such as iron, folic acid, and vitamin D, with supplementation when necessary to prepare for pregnancy nutritionally.
