
Eye fatigue! Sometimes I sleep for 15 hours, but feel tired again after just a few hours of waking up.
Recently, I have noticed that my eyes feel unusually tired, even when I have had sufficient sleep. At times, I can even sleep for 15 hours, yet after just a few hours upon waking, my eyes begin to feel heavy and fatigued again, severely affecting my daily life and work efficiency.

Persistent eye fatigue accompanied by excessive sleepiness can be caused by multiple factors. Prolonged screen time in front of computers, mobile phones, or other electronic devices may lead to visual fatigue, commonly known as "computer vision syndrome." In such cases, despite sufficient sleep duration, individuals may still feel tired upon waking due to inadequate deep sleep. It could also be related to eye health issues such as dry eye syndrome, keratitis, or refractive errors, all of which can cause eye discomfort and fatigue. Sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia, or circadian rhythm disturbances, may also contribute to this condition.
It is recommended to improve sleep quality by ensuring a quiet and comfortable sleeping environment and maintaining a regular sleep schedule. Practicing good eye hygiene, avoiding prolonged continuous use of the eyes, and taking timely breaks to relax the eyes are also important. Additionally, increasing outdoor activities and exercise, maintaining healthy dietary habits, and consuming sufficient vitamins and minerals can help alleviate eye fatigue.
