What should bamboo shoots not be eaten with?

2. Iron-rich foods: The oxalic acid in bamboo shoots may also bind with iron, affecting iron absorption. Individuals with iron-deficiency anemia should avoid consuming large quantities of bamboo shoots together with iron-rich foods such as red meat and spinach.
3. Use with caution for individuals with sensitive gastrointestinal systems: Bamboo shoots contain a significant amount of dietary fiber. For individuals with a healthy digestive system, moderate consumption can help promote gastrointestinal motility. However, for those with weak digestive function or gastrointestinal disorders, excessive consumption may cause discomfort, such as bloating and diarrhea.
