What causes small red spots to appear on the hands?
Recently, small red spots have been appearing frequently on my hands. I would like to know what causes these small red spots on the hands?

There are several possible causes for small red spots appearing on the hands; these are usually related to skin conditions or certain bodily reactions. Below are some common causes:
1. Vasodilation: Blood vessels may temporarily expand due to heat, emotional excitement, or after exercise, causing small red spots on the skin.
2. Skin allergy: Contact with certain allergens or chemicals on the hands may trigger an allergic reaction, resulting in red spots or rashes on the hands. This condition is usually accompanied by mild itching.
3. Rash: Certain viral (e.g., measles, rubella), bacterial, or fungal infections can cause rashes presenting as small red spots.
4. Insect bites: When insects such as mosquitoes or fleas bite the hands, anticoagulant enzymes and allergenic substances in their saliva may cause skin reactions, forming red spots.
5. Capillary hemangioma: This is a benign vascular abnormality that may form small red spots on the skin.
6. Other diseases: Small red spots on the hands could also be related to other conditions such as folliculitis, hemangioma, spider angioma, contact dermatitis, and hand fungus.
If the red spots on your hands persist, symptoms worsen, or are accompanied by other abnormalities, it is recommended to seek timely medical attention for diagnosis and treatment by a qualified physician.
