How to Remove Blackheads with Toothpaste
I've recently developed a lot of blackheads, and have tried many methods without much success. I heard that toothpaste can be used—how can toothpaste remove blackheads?

Blackheads, also known as open comedones, form when sebaceous glands produce excess oil combined with dead skin cells that clog pores. Using toothpaste to remove blackheads lacks scientific basis and may pose risks. Ingredients in toothpaste such as menthol and fluoride might cause redness, dryness, or allergic reactions.
It is recommended to use more scientifically proven and safer methods to address blackheads, such as regularly using gentle cleansers to dissolve excess oil and dead skin cells; maintaining healthy lifestyle habits, including reducing intake of greasy foods, drinking more water, and ensuring sufficient sleep; and receiving regular professional skincare treatments. If the problem of blackheads is severe, it is advisable to seek timely medical consultation and treatment from a dermatologist.
