Causes of flushed cheeks:

1. Physiological response: Emotional fluctuations such as nervousness, excitement, or shyness can cause the body to release adrenaline, leading to facial vasodilation and resulting in flushed cheeks.

2. Hormonal imbalances: Changes in hormone levels, such as those occurring during menopause, the menstrual cycle, or due to thyroid dysfunction, may also cause facial flushing.

3. Diet and lifestyle habits: Consumption of spicy foods, alcohol, excessively hot beverages, or excessive caffeine intake, as well as smoking and lack of sleep, can all stimulate facial blood vessels and cause flushed cheeks.

4. Medication side effects: Certain medications, especially vasodilators, may cause facial flushing as one of their side effects.

5. Skin conditions: Such as rosacea (acne rosacea), eczema, dermatitis, or allergic reactions, which can cause redness, itching, or a burning sensation on the facial skin.

In addition, medical conditions such as colds, fever, or hypertension may also be accompanied by symptoms of flushed cheeks. Therefore, the specific cause should be determined based on individual circumstances, and timely medical consultation is advised when necessary.
