Disease description:

I have recently experienced anal pain during bowel movements, initially thinking it was caused by constipation. However, I later noticed blood stains. It might be an anal fissure, but I'm unsure whether anal fissures always cause bleeding.

An anal fissure is a condition where the entire layer of the anal canal skin is torn, forming a chronic ulcer. Its main symptoms include anal pain and difficulty defecating; bleeding is also a common symptom. However, anal fissure bleeding mainly results from rupture of blood vessels at the site of the tear, so bleeding does not always occur.

Patients suspecting anal fissures are advised to seek timely medical consultation for examination, diagnosis, and treatment by a qualified physician. In daily life, patients should also pay attention to adjusting their diet and lifestyle, increasing dietary fiber intake, maintaining regular bowel movements, and avoiding excessive straining during defecation to alleviate symptoms. Additionally, prolonged sitting should be avoided to reduce pressure on the anus.
