How long after a hyaluronic acid injection (mesotherapy) can one get the treated area wet?
Recently, I tried hyaluronic acid injections at a beauty salon to improve skin dryness and fine lines. I was told to follow certain precautions after the injection, but I am not clear about how long I should wait before resuming normal face washing and showering.

You can get the injection site wet 24 hours after receiving a hyaluronic acid injection.
Hyaluronic acid injection is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting ingredients such as hyaluronic acid into the deeper layers of the skin to achieve hydration and skin tightening effects. After the injection, there will be small wounds on the skin, which usually heal naturally within 24 hours. However, to ensure the injection site does not become infected and to allow the skin sufficient time to adapt and absorb the injected material, doctors typically recommend avoiding direct contact with water immediately after the procedure.
Generally, the injection sites will be mostly healed within 24 hours after the hyaluronic acid injection, and you may begin to get the area wet at that time. However, even after the puncture sites have healed, some areas might still have scabs. You should avoid picking at or rubbing the scabs, allowing them to fall off naturally. When washing your face or applying skincare products, be gentle and avoid excessive friction or irritation to the skin.
It is recommended to visit a legitimate hospital and receive hyaluronic acid injections under the guidance of a qualified physician to ensure safety and effectiveness. After receiving the injections, you should also follow daily precautions such as sun protection, avoiding hot and humid environments, and maintaining healthy dietary habits to promote skin recovery.
