Hydroquinone injection is a minimally invasive procedure that improves skin condition through subcutaneous injection, leaving small needle marks on the skin surface. These marks require a certain amount of time to heal. Washing the face too early may lead to wound infection, affecting the results of the hydroquinone treatment and skin recovery.

Generally, it is recommended to wait at least 24 hours after hydroquinone injection before resuming normal face washing. During this period, avoid vigorously rubbing the face, and try to prevent water from directly contacting the injection sites. You may gently wipe other areas of the face with mild cleansers. If local anesthesia was used during the injection, a longer recovery period might be needed. Specifically:

1. If the hydroquinone injection was superficial and with a small dosage, and you have strong skin recovery ability, proper post-operative care, and mild skin reactions, you may be able to gently wash your face with water 24-36 hours after the injection.

2. If the injection was deep and with a larger dosage, if your skin has weaker recovery ability, if post-operative care was improper, or if skin reactions are more severe, then the time for washing the face may need to be delayed to 48 hours or even longer.

Maintaining good lifestyle habits, getting sufficient sleep, and engaging in moderate exercise can help accelerate the skin recovery process. If you experience redness, swelling, pain, or other abnormal symptoms after the injection, you should contact your doctor promptly for consultation.
