What Fruits to Eat During Different Stages of Pregnancy
Recently became pregnant, and saw online that I should eat more fruits. May I ask, what fruits are good to eat during each stage of pregnancy?

The following fruits are recommended according to different stages of pregnancy:
1. Early pregnancy (weeks 1-12): The embryo develops rapidly during this period. It is recommended to eat more folate-rich fruits such as kiwifruit, strawberries, and oranges, which help prevent neural tube defects. Additionally, consuming fruits rich in magnesium and iron, such as grapes, cherries, and bananas, is advised. Magnesium helps in the normal development of the fetal skeleton, while iron helps prevent iron-deficiency anemia.
2. Mid-pregnancy (weeks 13-27): As the fetus grows, increased iron intake is needed to prevent anemia. Iron-rich fruits such as cherries and grapes are good choices. Also, moderate consumption of potassium-rich fruits like bananas and apples can help regulate blood pressure.
3. Late pregnancy (after week 28): It is important to consume fruits rich in vitamin C, dietary fiber, and water, such as kiwifruit, oranges, pomelos, bananas, and dragon fruit. Vitamin C helps enhance the pregnant woman's immunity and promotes fetal skin metabolism; dietary fiber helps relieve constipation in pregnant women; fruits with high water content help replenish amniotic fluid and promote fetal health.
