What should be noted after breast augmentation with implants for half a month?
I recently completed my breast augmentation surgery with implants, and it has been half a month since the procedure. I am satisfied with my recovery so far, but I still have some concerns. I would like to know what I should pay attention to during this stage of recovery to ensure optimal healing.
One should avoid strenuous exercise, wear suitable bras, maintain a light diet, keep the wound clean, and pay attention to sleeping positions during the first half month after breast augmentation surgery.
1. Avoid strenuous exercise: Although light daily activities can be resumed, one should avoid any strenuous activities that may increase chest pressure or cause implant displacement for at least six weeks after surgery.
2. Wear suitable bras: Doctors usually recommend wearing specially designed postoperative bras to support the breasts and help position the implants properly.
3. Maintain a light diet: Avoid spicy or greasy foods, and consume more protein, vitamins, and minerals to promote wound healing and physical recovery.
4. Keep the wound clean: The surgical wound should not get wet before it heals. After suture removal, cleaning may be performed according to the healing condition of the incision. Maintaining cleanliness and avoiding infection is essential. Additionally, avoid pressing the breasts manually, as this may affect wound healing and implant positioning.
5. Pay attention to sleeping positions: During the first two weeks after surgery, avoid sleeping in a prone position or pressing the breasts with your hands. Try to sleep on your back or side to prevent pressure on the implants that may cause displacement.
