After receiving a slimming injection for the face, it is generally not recommended to eat chili peppers. Slimming injections typically involve the use of botulinum toxin to block nerve signals, causing the masseter muscles to relax, thereby achieving a facial slimming effect. Chili peppers, being a type of spicy and irritating food, may have adverse effects on facial skin.

Capsaicin, a component found in chili peppers, may enhance blood circulation and increase local blood flow, which could exacerbate swelling and discomfort at the injection site. For patients who have recently received facial slimming injections, this may prolong the recovery period. Additionally, the irritant nature of chili peppers might compromise the effectiveness of the slimming injection and even increase the risk of infection.

To ensure the effectiveness of the slimming injection and avoid possible complications, it is advisable to avoid consuming excessively hot or cold foods, as well as hard or chewy foods in the first few days following the injection. These foods may increase activity of the masticatory muscles and interfere with the spread of the botulinum toxin. Moreover, alcohol and spicy, irritating foods should be avoided as they may cause facial vasodilation, increase the risk of local bleeding, and prolong the healing process.
