What are breast nodules?
Recently, my mood has been quite low, as things aren't going well at home or at work, and I constantly feel some chest pain. After undergoing an examination, I found out it's due to breast nodules. I would like to know why this has happened and what exactly is going on.

Possible causes of breast nodules include breast infection or injury, endocrine hormonal imbalances, and genetic mutations.
Prolonged negative emotions may lead to endocrine abnormalities, which can cause breast nodules. Breast nodules can be classified as benign or malignant; benign nodules typically have clear contours and a soft texture, whereas malignant nodules may have ill-defined borders and a harder texture. Benign breast nodules include fibroadenomas, lipomas, and cysts, which generally do not threaten life but may cause discomfort or pain.
The Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) classifies breast lesions into categories 0-6, with higher numbers indicating a greater likelihood of malignancy. Nodules categorized as BI-RADS 4 or higher have a significant probability of being malignant and require further biopsy or surgical excision to determine their pathological nature. Treatment options for breast nodules include general management, medication, and surgical removal.
In daily life, women are advised to maintain a light diet, follow healthy作息 (作息 should be translated as "lifestyle habits" or "daily routines"), and engage in appropriate exercise, all of which may aid in recovery.
